This last talk of the year was designed around young adults: Mental health and social media. The turnout was massive.
It was moderated by a well known personality, Joy Doreen Biira who steered the conversation around the issues that the young adults grapple with in this age of digital media.
The panel consisted of: Stella Kivitu-Clinical Psychologist, Catherine Kangangi- Counselling Psychologist, Daniel Muturi- Youth Pastor, Kim Thiru – Mental Health Advocate/Actor.
The take away from this talk: Live an authentic life – social media is great but only when it’s not interfering with your daily activities. Don’t get sucked into the “Joneses lifestyle.” Consuming social media with the understanding of its triviality and its tendency to be unreal.
