In 2018, the Foundation threw a Christmas bash for the community members drawn from some of Nairobi’s low-income neighborhoods such as Kawangware, Dandora, Mathare and Kayole. There was song and dance and food and merry. It was held at Lavington Primary in recognition of the need for a balanced life that caters for both the physical and psychological wellbeing. We took this opportunity to spread the word on Mental Health through sharing of testimonials and information.

It is a fact that a lack of necessities and poverty contributes to depression and suicide.

Over 500 family members who were in attendance got the opportunity to celebrate Christmas in a joyous sense. Through the foundation sponsorship, Tusky’s supermarket sent each family home with a shopping bag containing dry food stuff and toiletries as part of the Christmas treat. The day ended in smiles.
